Campbell's Wines

The Campbell family winemaking heritage began in 1870 when Scotsman John Campbell made his first wine from the Bobbie Burns vineyard. Following a severe outbreak of phylloxera and determined to maintain the business, John’s son David introduced phylloxera resistant American rootstocks and by 1930 eighteen hectares of vines were flourishing. The fifth generation of the Campbell family, brothers Colin and Malcolm have maintained the commitment to quality and growth and today there are about sixty four hectares under vine. Campbell’s is one of the inaugural members of the Australian First Families of Wine, created in 2009.
