The b.f.t 2020
The 10th Big Fortified Tasting was due to take place on 23rd April this year. |
|
While we can’t bring you the show, we can still do our small part to share with you the diversity of the wines we were going to present. Our online 2020 Show Guide has just been loaded onto our website and can be found here. Sixty-four of the most famous and renowned names in the fortified wine world would have made the trip on April 23rd to allow you to taste over 300 superb wines. Instead they have provided (where possible) tasting notes for you to mull over during social isolation and perhaps giving you the opportunity to choose, purchase and sample some of these wines during lockdown. This year we are delighted to include a selection of fortified wines from Italy and we created a new category for Vermouth, including a selection of the wide range available from Speciality Drinks. We may not be able to run the show this year, but we continue to work with producers to find ways to give you and your customers the opportunity to taste their wines. Hopefully you have seen the news about our first 'virtual' masterclass with Quevedo. You can watch the videos on the Quevedo YouTube channel. Finally, please stay safe and well and we look forward to seeing you on 21st April 2021 at Church House, Westminster, for the next Big Fortified Tasting.
