Bodegas Hidalgo-La Gitana: Hidalgo Palo Cortado Wellington

Burnt gold colour, clean, bright. Intense dry wood hazelnuts and fruits, incredible finesse. The palate is full rich and rounded. Soft, dry toast aromas of pastries, nuts and pasificada. Superb on its own or as an aperitif, but is also recommended with soups and other well flavoured foods.

    Super Palo Cortado, many thanks, it will be written up as part of a Palo Cortado article I'm writing over the next month or so. it seems much lighter at 17.5% than some other examples at 20-21%, which I think makes it more drinkable while keeping that complexity. many thanks!
